The RBK 815 exercise bike feature a 14-inch step-through design with a low, 4-inch step-over height to make it easier to mount. Console handlebars help with entry and exit, while the riding handle bars provide optional hand and arm positioning and heart rate monitoring. The custom-designed, patent-pending air flex seat features a ventilated panel and a unique suspension system for a cool, cushioned ride. Using one hand, you can easily adjust the seat to any of 11 positions, whether you're on or off the bike.
Designed for Knee Over Pedal Spindle (KOPS) biomechanics, the seat is at an optimal position for more efficient pedaling and reduced shear force on the knee. This places the forward knee directly over the ball of the foot (or pedal spindle) when the pedals are in a horizontal position. Dual-sided pedals allow you to use them with or without the integrated straps. The pedals are extra-wide to comfortably accommodate feet of all sizes and ensure proper pedaling form.
Among the bike's other highlights is an LCD console that offers a clear, familiar layout and displays data such as calories burned, distance traveled, speed, time elapsed, time remaining, and percent complete. A convenient tap control provides an audible click when you press a key. Drink and accessory holders are conveniently located and ideal for portable music players. The bike is also equipped with handy transport wheels.
The RBK 815 sports a two-stage drive system that yields smooth, comfortable, quiet operation with a lower start-up resistance and more consistent resistance progression than typical single-stage drive systems. The three-piece crank tightens positively, reducing the need for periodic adjustments, and the 170-millimeter crank arm accepts any standard road or mountain bike pedal. An easy-to-remove shroud ensures quick access to the belt-drive system for maintenance and servicing without having to remove the pedals or crank.
The bike's steel frame has been treated with a two-step powder coating process for a rust-resistant undercoat and a cosmetic topcoat. Pedal axles and bearings are designed for smooth operation and exceptional durability. The bike measures 67 inches long by 49 inches high by 23 inches wide and weighs 210 pounds.
